February 19 Scholarship Fundraiser Gala
4-7pm, Cayucos Vet's Hall at the Pier Come savor fine wines and food and help Cayucos graduating high school seniors reach for the stars. All proceeds fund Cayucos Graduations Seniors who will be attending college in the fall of 2017. Sponsored by Cayucos Lion's and Lioness Clubs. See poster here. Month of March Mermaids in March Art Exhibit
March 1-30, various businesses in downtown Cayucos.
Be sure to walk around downtown and view the artisan creations of mermaids displayed during the month of March. Included are various types of media: woodwork, sculptures, paper maché, tile work, stained glass, and many others.

March 10 Mermaid Ball
Friday 6pm-10pm, $25 Cayucos Vet's Hall Tent at the Pier
You won't want to miss this swimmingly amazing adults-only evening. A king and queen will be chosen and the person with the winning costume receives a custom tiara bejeweled with sea glass. Come join us and dance to a local band, a chowder cook-off, art auction, and more. Tickets are limited, $25 each and are now on sale at Happy Go Smile. Questions? April 15 Convergence of Canines (Dog Flash Mob)
Arrive at Pier 12-12:15pm, Cayucos Everyone walks a leashed dog from local area to the pier, arriving between 12noon - 12:15pm. Come walk from all areas of town: motels, homes, cars. Come and converge to raise funds for the Lioness Club of Cayucos Mutt Mitt Project which provides waste bags at local beaches and city streets, which in turn, helps keep Cayucos dog-friendly and clean. Costumes are encouraged. All dogs, regardless of size, are required to be leashed.

Downtown Ocean Ave. becomes a pedestrian zone while browsers and shoppers can checkout the many goods being offered by local and visiting vendors. May 13 13th Annual Miracle Miles for Kids
8:30am, Morro Rock. 10k walk/run for foster and high-needs children and families. This run takes place on the waters edge, from Morro Bay to Cayucos Pier. Your participation in Miracle Miles for Kids helps FCNI (Family Care Network, Inc.) make a difference in the lives of those it serves, helping to meet needs such as: housing, clothing, mentoring, life skills development, extra-curricular activities and therapeutic services, of the over 1,400 children, youth and families served by FCNI annually . May 25 Cayucos Elementary School Dinner Fundraiser
Cayucos School
Come support the Cayucos School children as they raise funds for their graduation trip. Tickets $7, includes Penne pasta (with choice of meat, marinara or parmesan sauce), garlic bread, salad, fruit and drink. All proceeds go toward the Class of 2018 educational trip to Yosemite. May 27 Fireworks Show Fundraiser Dinner

Love our 4th of July Fireworks Show? Enjoyed for generations by those near and far, help keep our town tradition going. Cayucos boasts one of two fireworks displays in the county. Join us for an evening of BBQ Buffet, no host bar, fun and prizes. CHANCE TO WIN $10K IN CASH PRIZES. Can't make it? Donations for the Fireworkds show are accepted at Cayucos Chamber of Commerce. July 4 Independence Day Festivities
Fourth of July is a fabulous day in Cayucos. The sand sculptures are created by children, novices, and professionals. (Maybe you would like to build one?)They are truly works of art. The hometown parade is a delight to all. Make sure you come early to find parking and your observation spot. And the fireworks display being shot off the pier? Well, come see for yourself. Find that special spot on the beach and enjoy the show. Cayucos rocks on the Fourth of July!
Please leave fireworks at home. No fires, fireworks or alcohol on beach.

July 15 48th Annual Rock to Pier Fun Run and 4th Running of Rock'n Around the Pier Half-Marathon
The run/walk is approximately 6 miles in length and takes place on the hard packed sand from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier. Have more fun with the 5th Annual Rock'n Around the Pier Half-Marathon where runners have the option to run back to the Rock to compete in a 13.1 mile race. For more information, click here.

October TBA 62nd Annual Cayucos Carnival and Fall Fundraiser
11:30am-2:30pm, Cayucos School, 301 Cayucos Drive.
Come join us for a FREE family and community event. A family tradition for generations. Proceeds benefit school enrichment programs in the arts. Over 100 silent auction items, including hotel stays, custom art pieces and jewelry, fine dining, and much more. This is truly a carnival for everyone. While grown-ups are bidding on bargains at the silent auction, kids can frolic around and be entertained by FREE games and entertainment. FREE admission. BBQ, sno-cones, coffees and pastries.
